Automation Event to mark ticket as unread

It would be nice to have an automation event that will mark a ticket as unread, so it shows that something needs done. In my scenario, I have it alerting customer every couple days that something needs to happen. After 10 days I am changing Status to Stale Ticket and sending alerts internally. It would be nice to mark the ticket as unread so that when staff look at the unread tickets it shows up as something needing done.
