Workstation thermals

Hey Team,

Is it possible to put CPU/Mobo/Gfx thermals on your road map for Gorelo to pull and graph? It would handy to see what workstations are reaching high, constant, levels of thermal load to proactively engage clients.

Cheers and Merry Christmas! :)

    I like the idea of graphing the temps. In the meantime, we have the following run periodically to at least generate alerts. We get to know the recurring culprits pretty quickly.

    $ErrorActionPreference = 'SilentlyContinue'
    # Define the threshold temperatures
    $warningThreshold = 80
    $criticalThreshold = 90

    # Retrieve CPU temperature using WMI
    $cpuTemp = Get-WmiObject MSAcpi_ThermalZoneTemperature -Namespace "root/wmi" |
        Select-Object -ExpandProperty CurrentTemperature

    # Convert temperature to Celsius (WMI temperature is in tenths of Kelvin)
    $cpuTempCelsius = ($cpuTemp - 2732) / 10

    # Output the CPU temperature in Celsius
    Write-Output "Current CPU Temperature: $cpuTempCelsius °C"

    # Check if the temperature exceeds thresholds and run GoreloAction if needed
    $alertDescription = "CPU Temp is " + $cpuTempCelsius + " °C"
    if ($cpuTempCelsius -ge $criticalThreshold) {
        # Critical alert
        GoreloAction -Alert -Severity 1 -Name "CPU Temp Critical" -Description $alertDescription -Suppress 0
    } elseif ($cpuTempCelsius -ge $warningThreshold) {
        # Warning alert
        GoreloAction -Alert -Severity 2 -Name "CPU Temp Warning" -Description $alertDescription -Suppress 0
    }

      Great job sharing this! I made one but this one is much less code
