Edit & Delete Private Comments

Would love the ability to Edit & Delete Private comments on a Ticket, instead of just hiding them and starting over. So many times we've gone to type out a comment and hit enter, forgetting to expand the entry field to allow more text. Or, we've written and 'email' but forgotten to ensure it's on the Public tab to reply. In these instances, it would be great to Edit and/or Delete the Private comments. **Only the Private ones of course. Where comments are edited/deleted, an audit entry should be added to indicate which user did what.

    I honestly don’t want my technicians to have the ability to “change what they said”.
    Updating/adding a new comment is perfect.
    But with the ability to change what you said, it allows a sloppy mentality.
    And tickets where some stuff is forever, and other stuff was sent out to clients - I think it’s a terrible idea to be able to edit the commentary history.

    I foresee internal strife between technicians on big projects, and especially interesting technicians begging to “change what they said to the client" before it gets read”.

    Surprised this isn’t voted higher. The ability to edit and delete private comments, preferably with revision history and an audit trail, would be very useful. So is the ability to convert a private comment to public as requested here.

    I would really like the ability to edit Private Comments as I often forget to add things, or want to add things later without creating a separate comment.

    Case notes for ISP / MS / VoIP often get updated / change, or I hit submit and want to add another piece of info.

    Or tidy up my spam from typing while on a call.

    Editable is essential please, many thanks.

    Or have a 'convert to public' button.

    I would say at least half my tickets have a private comment (done accidentally), immediately followed by a public comment saying the exact same thing!
